New tyres and silencer

Anyone spot the deliberate (not) mistake?

Does help if you clamp the exhaust hanger together instead of either side of the foot hanger , gets rid of that strange looking gap from the rear ;D

Thanks Taz. They are together, but on the outside of the foot hanger. Do you think they would be better on the back of it?

That's not the mistake though... (Look lower than the silencer.)

I can't see the bump rubber for the center stand on the exhaust anywhere.

Hi Johnny. It is there, but doesn't line up very well. The picture shows the best that I can get it. Twisting the link pipe from the collector box lines it up slightly better, but then pushes the rear end of the silencer up too near to the panniers.

That's not the mistake though.

this is a good game, had to put my glasses on now lol

tyre is on wrong way round, tread pattern does not match the front tyre for direction of travel

It wasn't that - but now you've said it, I will go and check...

Keep looking.  8)

Update 1430. Both tyres have the direction arrows going the correct way. Good to check though. In case anyone is wondering, they are Dunlop Roadsmart II.

You have paddock stand bobbins but don't need them cause you have a centre stand...

That's not a mistake, that's just to fill the threaded holes in the swing arm. You are close though...

I'm with Taz on the exhaust clamp. You need to move it to the inside of the foot peg mount as that big ugly washer makes it look like it was just chucked together.

@ Taz. Yes it is my bike at
http://www.awesomegraphics.co.uk/epages/Store2_Shop1475.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store2.Shop1475/Products/0%5B473%5D
and the decals are as good if not better than the original ones on the tail. Cool blue is the best colour.

@ Johnny. The washer is original and goes on top of the rubber washer to give the mount some fexibilty. I tried to get the whole thing to the inside but it wouldn't line up. The instructions from Beowulf say to the outside anyway.

@ IanG. Yes the baffle is in for now...

I'm surprised nobody has spotted my mistake yet.

It took me 10 minutes to rectify my mistake and actually took longer to get the tools out again and get the bike in the right position so that both sides of it were easily accessible.

There's a clue in there...

Correct! The rear wheel spindle should be fitted with the nut on the chain side.

there is a heat guard/plate that fits over the link pipe engine end...............to protect you from the heat of the exhaust..

Agreed, as it can't turn anyway so the nut can't undo itself. Just my tidy mind wanting it correct.  8)

Thanks again Taz. Is that the original heat guard from the OEM silencer?

My centre stand stop doesn't fit as well as yours did. Too far forward and at the wrong angle...   >:(

No response at all despite several emails to Beowulf.  :'(
