A701 to Moffat
« on: September 23, 2012, 10:48:32 AM »
Hi guys went for a run yesterday an it has to be one of my faves so thought I'd let you know about it. If you live in or around Edinburgh you head for Straiton and take the A701 down to Moffat, this is a really great road for bikes an as you get further down the scenery is lovely. Moffat's a nice wee place with a few biker friendly pubs/hotels for a drink or bar lunch.
From Moffat I headed to Selkirk on the A708, this is another twisty road an goes past the Grey Mare's Tail and St Mary's Loch and as yesterday was such a nice day, lots of bikes on the road.
From Selkirk I headed up the A7 to Galashiels and then on to Edinburgh. It's about 130 miles and really is a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon  :icon_sunny:

Just need Josh Brookes to do well in Assen an it'll be great weekend :headbang:
