Hi newbie
« on: July 05, 2016, 12:24:27 PM »
Hi everyone, retired and happy. I have owned two Bandits and a GSX650F in the past. I am suposed to be retired but carry on working to enable me to do a bit of european touring. The last 12 months has seen me on  a NT700 which whilst adequate I felt required a bit more go. So a couple of weeks ago treat myself to a new 1250FA with touring luggage.  I find that the panniers are Monokey and the flimsy top box is Monolock. The top box actually fell off the bike within five miles of the dealership. They are to replace it. Has anyone converted the suzuki oem rack from monolok to monokey,  The end plate is simply bolted on. The Topbox is made by Kappa with a weight limit of 3kg and is of flimsy single skin construction. It can only hold 37 litres or one full face helmet. Hardly a touring volume. Any answers appreciated.

Removed the monolock plate and replaced by Givi mushrooms. Also had to replace the locking latch. Job done .
