Fog lights/ riding lights? For GSX 1250 FA
« on: January 01, 2017, 10:58:57 AM »
Hi all,
I'm a Blood runner and looking to add additional lighting. Although the head light is not to bad on full beam.  I find on A & B roads at night I could do with more illumination. I've been on line and the brightest I can find is 600 Lumens at £250 quid. (Suzuki a lot more money) does anyone have experience or can recommend a good set of fog lights/ auxlilary lights? Cheers - riggsy

Hi all,
I want to add fog lights/ auxiliary lights to my GSX 1250 FA. I ride a lot at night and need more illumination. I've been on line and the brightest I can find is 600 lumens for £250. Does anyone have experience or recommend a supplier or websites to visit? Thanks - riggsy

I have fit Cree u5 /u7 inside the upper fairings. Around £15 for an improvement. A bit fiddly but worth it. Use them as daylight running lights.

In answer to your questions. Hugger. Pyramid plastics.  I have also fit a fenda extenda from them . Self adhesive one did not fall off my 650 in 8 years. So fit one to 1250. Screen. I have fit Vario screen with adjustable deflector.  Works reasonably well but nowhere nerve as much protection as my last bike which had a much taller and wder screen (Deauville). I use Cree U5 / U7 as daylight running lights. Work well in the dark if adjusted correctly. Canibalise the frame cage round the light and fit inside the fairings as high as you can.  Reasonably easy job.. I.  I hope the above helps.
