« on: May 25, 2017, 07:42:09 PM »
Left my lights on (Parking lights) all lit up but not enough Juice in battery. Tried to start it with Power Pack 12v battery charger now its dead? checked the fuse its ok ? can I jump start it with leads from My Car ? Been away from Biking for a few years but everything has become so technical dont want to burn anything out.

No problem to jumpstart the bike.
Connect the jump leads.
Start the car, and let it run for a minute,
You may start the bike directly or let the bikebattery charge for 10 minutes.
Disconnect everything, take the bike for a long ride.

Don't try it the otherway arround

I have heard that you should switch off the donor car engine before starting the bike.  I was told that to jump start with engine running causes excess load on the alternator diodes.  It would probably be best to charge the flat battery for 24 hours when it should start on its own.
